A catch-all functionality that is activated for a particular email mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. To put it differently, if you remove an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled email address under the same domain, you will receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be essential if you are running some company, for example. Since you may start receiving spam email messages, you can use the catch-all feature with anti-spam filtering software in order to receive only real email messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you have a cloud website hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel offers quite a lot of features, but it’s exceptionally simple to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes just one single click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be shown in this section alphabetically and you’ll only need to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the concrete address. Our system will notify you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as simple and takes one more mouse click on the very same button.
